Band
Concert, pep and marching band. Under Claire Larson the band was selected to represent the district at the Minnesota Music Educators Association convention; the department has taken superior ratings at state contest, was a Grammy Signature School semifinalist in 2015, and tours abroad every other year.
Who runs it

Following the season
Kenyon-Wanamingo's fine arts and academic activities compete under the same MSHSL calendar as its sports, with section and state events in the winter and spring.

Where it stands
Owen Dailey teaches band. Under his predecessor Claire Larson the band was selected to represent Kenyon-Wanamingo at the Minnesota Music Educators Association's Midwinter Convention, the state's main gathering of music teachers — an invitation small schools rarely get; John Greene, a former Minnesota Music Educator of the Year, and composers Shirley Mier and Daniel Kallman worked with the group. Students have been selected for Minnesota All-State ensembles, and Gopher Conference all-conference honours go to K-W players most years.
