The Athletic Hall of Fame

Kenyon-Wanamingo has inducted a class every October since the first ceremony on October 3, 2015. Athletes and teams become eligible ten years after graduation; coaches, administrators and boosters have no waiting period. The founding committee — activities director Randy Hockinson, former coaches Steve Alger and Jen Nerison, former athlete Todd Greseth and administrator Matt Ryan — wrote the rule that matters: inductees are chosen so that both former high schools, all sports and all genders are represented. Nominations close April 1 for the following fall and the forms are in the high school office.

The arts travel

The music department has taken superior ratings at state contest, was a semifinalist for the Grammy Signature School award in 2015, and tours abroad every other year — Norway in 2018. The band was selected to represent the district at the Minnesota Music Educators Association's Midwinter Convention, and Kenyon-Wanamingo staged its first competitive one-act play in more than forty years in 2023.

From the district's 2025–26 activities directory, kw.k12.mn.us, read October 1, 2026. Schedules and tickets are at kwknightsathletics.com and on Bound. Conference affiliation from the Minnesota State High School League and the Kenyon Leader.
