The Knights left the Hiawatha Valley League for the Gopher Conference in 2021–22. “Size-wise we’ve been going down with our student population,” the activities director at the time, Randy Hockinson, told the Kenyon Leader when the move was announced. The school’s MSHSL classification enrollment is 204 and its administrative region is 1A.
Our report
Where it stands
The clearest turnaround in the building. Across six seasons from 2013 to 2019 the Knights won fewer than ten games in total; under Brent Lurken, now in his fifth season, they went 21-7. The 2001 team won the first state title in school history. Twenty-eight games are scheduled for 2026-27.
