Public notices
The filings a Minnesota school district is required to make public — the audited accounts, the annual notices, the testing calendar, the literacy plan, the non-discrimination statement. They are the dullest documents the district produces and the most useful.
Two of these carry most of the information. The financial statements are the audited accounts — enrollment, spending by program, the levy, the bonds, and the statutory operating debt the district is working its way out of. The Comprehensive Achievement and Civic Readiness report is where the district states its goals to the state and says plainly which it missed.
Both are read and set out in full on the numbers page, with the charts.
