Following the season
The Knights left the Hiawatha Valley League for the Gopher Conference in 2021–22. “Size-wise we’ve been going down with our student population,” the activities director at the time, Randy Hockinson, told the Kenyon Leader when the move was announced. The school’s MSHSL classification enrollment is 204 and its administrative region is 1A.
Where it stands
One of the largest teams in the school, and one of the most successful. K-W shoots at the Wanamingo Sportsmen's Club, supported by the sportsmen's clubs in both towns, and carries 30 to 35 athletes. The team competes in the ninth conference of the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League and has led it outright. Joshua and Joseph Estrem have finished first and second in the conference's individual boys' rankings; Joshua took sixth against roughly 8,000 shooters at the 2026 state championship in Alexandria and was named All-State. The team has also placed 28th at state.
