A property owner or lawful possessor completes this notice, serves it on the person in writing (in person or by certified mail), and files a copy with the police so a return can be charged as criminal trespass under Minn. Stat. 609.605. Keep a copy and proof of service; attach a photo if possible. The notice may run up to one year.
What happens next. The Police Department keeps the notice on file for the period stated. Serve the person a copy and keep your proof of service.
