NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council will hold a Special Meeting pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes, Section 13D.04, subdivision 2 on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, commencing at
6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 709 2nd Street, Kenyon, Minnesota for the following purposes:

SUBJECT: 2025 Fire Contract Meeting with Townships
SUGGESTED ACTION: The Council will review the proposed fire contracts for 2025. The six
townships served by the FD were sent notices of the meeting in early
November. Fire Chief Wayne Ehrich will review the proposed fire contracts
and answer questions. The formula is based on 51% City - 49% Township
split of the proposed 2025 operating FD budget. The townships portion of the
budget would be split based on the number of sections covered by the Fire
Department. Copies of the 2025 Fire Department expenditure budget, Fire
Contract and billing summary and related materials are attached below.
