About
Kenyon's county office, and the desk every claim in this guide runs through. Director Justin Kent and assistant officer Marissa LaCourt (651-385-3255) file disability and pension claims, handle death and burial benefits, education, employment and small-business questions, financial assistance under the state's Soldiers Assistance Program, health-care enrollment, housing, ID cards and legal referrals, and they order discharge records from the National Personnel Records Center (allow up to 90 days; a copy may already be on file if you were discharged as a Goodhue County resident). The county page's FAQ also covers the free fishing license for disabled veterans, state cemetery burial and reopening a denied claim with new evidence.
